2000 Tundra limited extended cab pop up camper

Question:
I have a 2000 Tundra limited extended cab 4×4 (V8). I carry a pop up camper, 900lbs. Stock wheels and shocks , I have air bags in the rear and was looking for something to even out the rake ( lift the front ) I have heard good and bad regarding spacers and thought an adjustable front shock that could give me 1.5″ to 2″ lift without stiffining my ride might be better.
would the Bilstein 5100 work well?
any problems changing the perch to get the lift ? would any of the ranchos be better ? just trying to get some expert advise here for someone (me) with limited knowledge. I do some offroading and 4wheel trails wooding, hunting ect but mostly hwy and around town.
Many Thanks,
Mitch
Answer: The BE5-6929 Bilstein would be fine for the front.
You are only locating a spring clip, very easy to do. If you look at the picture, you can see the grooves for the optional locations for the spring clip. (note that Bilsteins are a racing part per se, and have no warranty. They also must be adjusted off the truck).

Using the BE56929s, Bilsteins BTS7514 allows you to adjust the height while installed.
It is a true coil over setup -

The Rancho RS99779 is a true coil over, and can be adjusted while the unit is installed on the truck. You can also adjust the valving (firm, firmer, etc).
They have Ranchos lifetime warranty. They are a twin tube gas unit.

The Quicklift is similar to the rancho unit above, but you cannot adjust the height. It’s a fixed height.
You can adjust the valving though, and it has a protective boot on it.

Out of all these, the BIlsteins are popular choice, but that could be due to the price.
If want to be able to adjust the height anytime, the RS99779 (or the BTS7514
Bilstein) is the way to go.
