Question:
I have a 2006 3500 Chassis Cab with a fully built out Winnebago
RV on it. It has a GVWR of 10,200 lbs. I want to be sure you are
selecting the correct shock that is going to give improve ride and
control with less swaying.
Answer:
This is what the shock companies call a Dodge Chassis Cab (image link)\ http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2006/03/01/212187.3-lg.jpg
A pickup truck made without without a bed (so youy can use your own bed).
Your original emails says “Sprinter”.
The only Sprinter vehicle the shock companies list is the Dodge / Mercedes Sprinter Van - http://www.dodge.com/en/2008/sprinter/
Those two vehicles would use different shocks because they are different chassis, so you want to be sure which one the coach (motorhome) builder used. You may have to check Winnebego.
If you want to use a Bilstein, you might give them the OE part number off the Dodge shock, perhaps they can cross it to their product, abd a part number we do carry.
We just want to make sure you get the right shock the first time.
Also, more about “ride” is mention on our website here - http://www.shockwarehouse.com/site/shock_absorber_myths.cfm
