Questions (over one weekend): I have a Dodge motor home jamberee. It is a 1979 F40 I can’t find the model any where. i need front and rear shocks. The front shocks have 2 bolts on bottom and 1 nut on top. The rears have 1 big bolt top and bottom. Do you have a # for me I need a picture of the shock to match up.

Second question more info I have a 1979 van type class c motor home. f40 I found the bilstien Shock # f4-b46-0925-HO It looks like the correct shock. Is Monroe # 555037 front and 555038 rear a good shock for the truck. the front axle wt. is 3660 lb. The total GVW is 10600. I hope you can steer me in the right direction.

This is my third email on the dogde moter home F40 I have more info. The front shock is the type for the b350 but the size is 18″
extended from tip to tip 13″ at its smallest. The rear is 22″ extended and15″ at its smallest. The rear has a bolt to hold it top and bottom. Looks like the shock for the B350. Waiting for help before I buy.

Answer:

It looks like The Monroe Gasmagnum part number 555038 will fit your RV in the rear, it has a collapsed length of 12.875″ and an expanded of 21″. The 555037 has a collapsed length of 10.125″ and an expanded of 15.625″, BUT it sounds like you might be measuring different than monroe is, they measure shocks from the center of the eyelet to the BASE of the stud, not the tip, which may mean that your measurement was a couple inches longer than theirs and the 555037 might fit. You can see the technical sheet for those shocks, along with the exact measurements of the mounting points, here:
http://www.monroe.com/catalog/documents/08_MountingLengthSheet.pdf

Model:2007 Lincoln Mark LT

Vehicle Setup: Rear Wheel Drive
Suspension Type: Regular Shocks or Struts

Question: What kind of shocks will soften the ride on my 07 Lincoln Mark LT.

Answer: One of the possible symptoms of blown shocks is a stiffness in the ride. Most of our customers are looking for performance upgrades, so there aren’t any shocks designed to make the ride softer than it was from the factory, I think your best bet will be to replace your shocks with the Monroe Sensatrac and Reflex shocks, which are designed to be as soft as the OEM shocks. You can see those here:

Front Sensatrac – http://www.shockwarehouse.com/site/product.cfm?id=376310

Rear Reflex – http://www.shockwarehouse.com/site/product.cfm?id=19861

Just a note: the sensatrac and reflex are different brand names that Monroe uses for shocks that essentially are idesigned for the same thing, both will be OEM replacement shocks, but the reflex uses a different valve to adjust to road conditions than the sensatrac does. You’ll be prefectly safe driving with a sensatrac up front and a reflex in the rear, and that setup will give you the most comfortable ride possible.

Question: I need to replace the shocks on my Geo Tracker and I figure while I’m doing it, I might as well upgrade them.

There are a few different options for your application. Monroe has the Sensatrac brand which will be a direct OEM factory replacement, and offer a similar feel to when the original shocks were new. Bilstein and KYB both offer a monotube design shock for your vehicle which will be a bit stiffer. You can see all of the options on our website by clicking the link below.

Answer:

The Bilsteins are a heavy duty shock, so they will be stiffer than the Monroes, but will give you more control over the RV, especially at highway speeds and on rough roads. The parts we have equivalent to your Monroes are the F4-BE5-B402-H0 in the front and F4-BE5-B403-H0. Those parts and the Monroes you have right now aren’t designed for the 2002 Endeavor chassis, they are only recommended for 2004+ roadmaster shassis with 8 airbags, but if the Monroes are working for you, the Bilsteins will fit.
You can see all of those parts here:

Answer:

The Monroe Sensatrac is a very good shock, it’s designed to be a direct OEM replacement, and will give you a soft, comfortable ride like the shocks that came stock on your Chrysler Town and Country. The price for a full set of Sansatrac shocks and struts for your minivan
you can see those here:

Please note that these shocks are not designed to replace the auto leveling rear suspension with nivomats, if your minivan has those, you’ll need to use the Monroe Nivomats, which can be seen here:
Suspension Type: Regular Shocks or Struts

Question: I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Diamante and my shocks and struts are gone, what do you have to replace them?

Answer:

You can see all of the parts for the 2001 Mitsubishi Diamante here:
2001 Mitsubishi Diamante shocks and struts

The Monroe Sensatrac will be a basic OEM replacement shock/strut, while the KYB GR2 will be a slightly sportier part that will eliminate some of the car’s body roll in corners and nosedive under hard braking.

Question:

One of the front struts on my 06 Focus is leaking, and I want to replace all of my shocks and struts at once. Do you have any aftermarket shocks that will fit my car? I’m not looking to turn it into a racecar, just want a good safe replacement shock and strut.

Answer:

We have Monroe Sensatrac shocks and struts built for your Focus, they are good quality twin-tube units like the ones that came with your car from the factory. You can see those here:

You may also want to replace your factory upper strut mounts while you have the strut and spring off of the car, you can see those here:
